SEMLAB has a dual use product proposition addressing the urgent need to develop and validate innovative solutions for the battlefield, making Europe safer.
This approach consists of:
- Embedding our Autonomous Battlefield Triage into autonomous vehicles for casualty transportation and triage.
- Using disparate data sources and AI-supported assessment integrated into a Robotic and Autonomous System (RAS).
The following data will be used to make an assessment:
- Hyperspectrical-, heat-, day-, night vision imaging sensor data.
- Voice- and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) condition sensor data.
With this triage approach a Robotic and Autonomous System (RAS) can evacuate soldiers from the battlefield autonomously.
Robotic-assisted capabilities are integrated into one platform that address the specific challenges of military battlefield triage and evacuation in mass casualty scenarios, including CBRN contamination and ongoing high intensity fighting spots with limited or no access of first responders.
The objective of an integration of autonomous battlefield triage and RAS will be a dedicated solution that provides innovative damage site inventory of casualties, extraction, and unmanned systems (various platforms) with the ability to monitor and assess the health status of injured soldiers and adapt their behaviour accordingly.
